Welcome to the 1st Cold Shock Protein Symposium
Dear members of the cold shock protein community,
We would like to welcome you all to the homepage of the 1st Cold Shock Protein Symposium (CSPS). Until now there has been no informal platform to exchange ideas/exciting news, present talks and posters on cold shock protein research.
Therefore it is our quest to bring together the community by initiating a meeting on COLD SHOCK PROTEINS.
The first meeting will take place in Magdeburg (Germany) a historic city located on the river Elbe, residing in the center of a triangle formed by Berlin, Hannover, and Leipzig. Information on transportation and registration details are provided in this webpage.
Please arrange your travel accordingly.
We have received numerous positive responses and are pleased to announce that we are expecting more than 30 senior scientists from the cold shock protein community. The field of participants will be completed with postdocs and PhD students, so we will be more than 60 scientists in total.
The format of the meeting is as follows: the meeting will start on the afternoon of Thursday, September 12th with a key note lecture. There will be scientific sessions on Friday, September 13th and Saturday, September 14th.
Cultural and networking events will complete the symposium. On Friday evening we have planned a relaxed boat tour on the river Elbe including dinner. Saturday afternoon we will use bicycles to explore the area around Magdeburg, before we will finish the first Cold Shock Protein Meeting with a BBQ and live music in the evening.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Magdeburg!
